Swedish Day UK 2023

Swedish Day 2023 celebrated its 16th year .

As well as our Saabs and Volvos, this year we were joined by the Polestar \drivers Club who bought along four exsamples.

Irene was back with her "new" Scania, no longer a green potato wagon but a full size Artic Unit, a Scania R114

7 awards were again presented this year. A big thank you to all the sponsors for your support. The seven prizes at the 2023 show were awarded like this.


Chris Hamley sponsored the “Most Admired Saab”, chosen by the people at Swedish D
ay which went to Rich Carpenter and his
Saab Sonett 3.
Volvo Owners Club
“Most Admired Volvo”, chosen by the people at Swedish Day went to Andrew Sellick and his Volvo 164E.
A R B Property Services, "Favourite Young Swede" went to Andreas Tatt and his Polestar 2.
Volvo Owners Club
"Furthest Travelled" went to Andreas Tatt
who travelled from Canerbury.
Rob Gray sponsored an award for "Best Modified Swede"
and this went to James Davies and his Saab 9-3 Viggen.
Best truck was awarded to Irene and her Scania R114.
Joe Pugh for the "Highest Mileage" went to Steven Hobson and his Volvo V70 with 306,505 miles on the clock.

I would like to thank everybody for supporting this event, the helpers, the sponsors mentioned above, Roger and Minnie for the location and everything they did for us at Haselbury Mill, the internet forums and blogs, good friends Mark, John, niece Siobhan, Daughter Azabeth  for helping through the day.  But the biggest thank you goes to all the owners of those lovely Saabs, Polestars, Scanias and Volvos that came along on the day. Next years show will be held on Sunday the 12th May.
